Vacation Bible School 2011

"Big Apple Adventure - Where Faith and Life Connect" - July 11-15

Each evening around 40 kids explored New York for this year's offering of Vacation Bible School 201.  The kids grabbed a cab and had  fun around every corner in “Big Apple Adventure, Where Faith and Life Connect”.   As the children explored the big city, they learned how to step out in faith and connect with Jesus - sharing the message of Christ with their world.

Theme Verse: So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message of Jesus Christ.  (Romans 10:17 HCSB)

Motto:  Hear it!  Believe it!  Connect it!

Kids ranging in age 4 through entering 7th grade had a blast and are looking forward for next year's adventure.

Family Worship Services

Each year we have several family worship services.  Here the whole family is encouraged to worship together.  It is an informal time to come together and focus on what God has done for us.  It’s okay if the little children make noise or talk out loud.  It is part of the experience of a family worship experience.  Our family worship services are the Easter Sunrise Service, Thanksgiving Service, and Christmas Eve Service.

 Easter Sunrise Service - 6:15 a.m.

We will gather inside, and then head outside, to the area of the crosses.  Dress appropriately for cold weather, and soft, wet ground (usually) for a brief time of worship that reminds us of the resurrection morning.  Following this time of worship we will return to the building and share breakfast together.  Bring something to share.

 Thanksgiving Day Service  - 10:00 a.m.

Emmanuel believes that on Thanksgiving Day we should gather together to give thanks to the one who provided all our blessings, material as well as spiritual.  Join us for this community service

 Christmas' Eve Service - 7:00 p.m.

On December 24th we have a family service that celebrates God’s gift of the Savior.  All ages came together to sing carols and celebrate the birth of our Savior.
